Verdure Sciences is excited to announce that Thymocid Extract, from black cumin seed oil, has received the Non-GMO Project Verified status! Thymocid joins the ranks of other Non-GMO Project Verified ingredient offerings at Verdure, such as Bacognize, Longvida, Pomella, WokVel, and ashwagandha.

The Non-GMO Project Verification Program is North America’s only third-party verification program for non-GMO foods and ingredients, according to their website. The verification process aims to ensure that the materials and facilities used to produce Thymocid are non-GMO compliant and the process was completed and confirmed through a very rigorous process. “Consumers and manufacturers of finished products, alike, are increasingly more concerned about GMOs, verified products, and knowing about what a product really has in it and where it comes from. This drives a desire for greater transparency in the choices being sought after, which we feel the Non-GMO Project helps to offer to not only the masses, but manufacturers of finished products as well. The iconic butterfly seal of the Non-GMO Project logo is now associated with Thymocid. While the logo is not transferrable to a finished product, this does make the process more seamless for manufacturers and helps to bring even more transparency and traceability to the global marketplace. †
