Traceability: From Procurement to Extract

Traceability forms the backbone of our quality assurance practices and our quality department serves as its guardian. From procurement and raw material acquisition to the manufacturing process and beyond, we validate, analyze, and test our botanical ingredients through various standards and methodologies. Our quality department meticulously tracks this journey for each botanical, documenting its origin, cultivation methods, and handling procedures. This comprehensive approach not only provides ingredient consistency and transparency, but also helps foster a sense of trust with our customers.

Testing and Training

In the pursuit of botanical integrity, testing serves as our compass. Under the guidance of our seasoned experts, our quality department employs a multifaceted approach to testing, encompassing several analyses and assays with rigorous scrutiny to meet regulatory requirements and our own exacting standards.

But quality also extends beyond testing- it’s a mindset ingrained in every member of our quality department. Continuous training and education empower our staff to stay abreast of the latest advancements to stay compliant with modern processes and procedures, adapting to these new standards and ultimately setting us apart in consistently moving the needle forward.

Collaborative Efforts and Partnerships

Quality knows no bounds, and neither does collaboration. We recognize the power of collaborative partnerships in safeguarding botanical integrity, and our quality department works in tandem with various departments, organizations, and associations to uphold botanical integrity, underwriting ingredient quality assurance.

Thanks to these collaborative efforts, we are fortunate to have several quality adherences, analyses, and/or certifications that emphasize these collaborative efforts including but not limited to: Alkemist Assured^™, USP, non-GMO, Glyphosate Residue Free, ISO, cGMP, HACCP, Organic, Kosher, and Halal.

In addition, our collaborative partnerships include but are not limited to: Alkemist Labs, American Herbals Products Association, American Botanical Council, and Sustainable Herbs Program. These partnerships allow us to not only strengthen our internal quality initiatives, but also set the stage for the industry standard.
